Grades and Programs

The Early Development Program services children who are three years old and have been identified as having a disability or learning delay. The Pre-Kindergarten Program at the Morris Early Childhood Center services four year old children with identified special needs. Each spring there is a preschool screening where families can learn more about the program.

Kindergarten

The Morris Early Childhood Center serves as the Milford School District's Kindergarten Center. There currently are morning and afternoon class sessions. You will need to speak with the school secretary and share your address in the school district to determine whether your child will attend the morning or afternoon session. There are a limited number of students attending special full day Kindergarten based on their needs.

Readiness First

The Morris Early Childhood Center offers the Readiness First classes to allow children extra time and support in mastering kindergarten level skills before moving on to a regular first grade. While the instruction, class work, and homework are more rigorous than that of kindergarten, they are less so than in the first grade. The children receive a full day of instruction.

First Grade

The Morris Early Childhood Center houses all of the Milford School District's First Grade classrooms. The First Grade students attend school all day and participate in first grade "specials" such as gym, integrated arts, and lunch.
